Limited Edition Gin to celebrate our 10th birthday
In celebration of our 10th Birthday, we introduce to you, a new, limited edition gin to our range to mark the special occasion. Aptly named after our founder, Tom Warner, Warner's 'Old Tom Gin' nods to Warner's Distillery and the history of gin – with only a small batch being sold.
Please note, your bottle will not arrive in a Gift Tube as these have now sold out. We do however still have limited bottles available at £45!
Warner's 'Old Tom Gin' is inspired by the wildly popular 18th century gin recipe that was toasted across the nation – the Old Tom. But names aren't all the two share, an affinity to black cats is another. The inspiration for the original Old Tom gin supposedly came from wooden plaques shaped like a black cat. The plaque acted as a marker for gin seekers during the prohibition; they marked a place gin lovers could discretely deposit money, while getting a shot of gin in return.
At Warner's Distillery, the black cat represents curiosity. Warner's actually named its first still curiosity, after a black cat ran across the freshly poured concrete for the foundations, leaving behind paw prints.
You know what they say…it was curiosity that killed the cat!
"A lot of legendary stuff has happened in our stills over the last 10 years. A lot of learning, laughing and a lot of amazing liquid! And all of this because of our curiosity - both in still, and in spirit. Our 10th year has given us some huge successes, including becoming B-corp certified and launching Warner's Nature Marque, a first of its kind sustainable pub accreditation." said Tom Warner, CEO and Founder of Warner's Distillery.
And the curiosity continues. The addition of Warner's 'Old Tom Gin' marks the 16th gin created by our fabulous team. With a bold, warm and smooth profile, it is best served over ice with Indian tonic and a wedge of orange. It also works brilliantly in a Tom Collins cocktail. With only 1000 bottles available you'll need to be quick. Pre order yours today.
