Warner’s Distillery wins Stakeholder Engagement Award at the Footprint Drinks Sustainability Awards 2019

We’re thrilled to announce that our Dream Team won the Stakeholder Engagement Award at the Footprint Drinks Sustainability Awards. As a business, sustainability and reducing our environmental impact are at the heart of our business ethos. This award – to honour our Honeybee Gin initiatives of supporting pollinators through improving habitat, providing education and our ongoing work with the RHS – embodies our mission to become as self-sufficient & environmentally sustainable as possible.

This truly is an amazing achievement for our business and brand, and we’re so excited to have excelled and been rewarded for our first big steps towards a sustainable future. With judges from Diageo, Innocent Drinks, Casual Dining Group, Coca-Cola European Partners, Matthew Clark, Fever-Tree Drinks and UK Hospitality, we’re delighted with their comments:

“A great entry, Warner's Distillery is obviously absolutely committed to not only walking the walk but also talking the talk and they do whatever they can to share the news with as broad an audience as possible. “

“The longer term view of sustainability is without doubt at the heart of the business, even the short overview of the new projects dealing with other key topics demonstrates that.”

“Brilliant initiative - comprehensive, integrated and authentic approach which leverages the brand with multiple stakeholders to the benefit of the bees, environment and the business...”

“…an engaging programme linking to a very wide range of stakeholders, inspiring broader positive impact…”

Massive congratulations and thanks to everyone who has helped us win this award, in particular our legendary Conservation & Sustainability Manager, Jonny and to Footprint. With thanks to award sponsor SIBA and congratulations to Budweiser Brewing Group, who were Highly Commended in the category. Watch this space!
